Getting Started

Well, My friend Susan B said I should give this a try, so I am.

I have been wanting to get more knowlegeable and involved with the art community here in Denver so next Saturday I am going to attend my first Artist Trading Card swap. For those of you who do not know what an ATC swap is, artists compose little individual pieces of art the size of a playing card and bring them to a swap in order to exchange the small handmade art pieces with othere ATC artists. I just recently found out that there is a swap here in Denver the second Saturday of every month. Hard part is I have to make 30 cards to take and swap and they have to be finished by next Saturday. So, I should be working on the Artist Trading Cards and not trying to figure out how to do this blog thing. But here I am.

I am excited about this new adventure but also a bit nervous to think about putting my work out there for other artists and not just my friends and relatives who often get my creations for Christmas and birthday presents. My hope is that this experience will expand my borders, give me new input, feedback and inspiration.

But I better just end this blog and get to work on those Artist Trading Cards or this new adventure of mine might not even happen.
