Circle Journal - Play

February was the month that the members of our Circle Journal had agreed to create pages on the theme of PLAY. Interestingly enough, it was during that month that one of us had painful surgery on her knee, one of us was dealing with a seriously ill parent and one of us was dealing with an unemployed husband and some serious financial difficulty.

We tossed around the idea of canning the theme play but decided if we had more time that it would probably be good for us if we had to contemplate and create around the theme of PLAY. We extended our completion date and decided to persevere with the topic of PLAY. After I committed myself to the project, it was a welcome relief to contemplate and create around the theme and it gave me moments of relief and respite and a chance to PLAY amidst the pressing and painful issues of life surrounding us as friends and Circle Journal collaborators.

I thought I would share these pages with you all and hope you can find a moment of play or joy or laughter in viewing pages created by three women looking for a bit of PLAY.

Whimsical Clocks

Since my husband used to own a cigar shop, I have MANY cigar boxes at my disposal. Recently I have started making some whimsical assemblage clocks with my collection of vintage paper, interesting ephemera and items I have collected on my various training trips around the world.

I used cigar box tops and some cigar bands for the heart clocks.

These clocks are for sale in my Etsy Shop.
