This is my first submission to the blog Illustration Friday. I found out about this blog just recently and felt that this painting fit well for the theme, which is Intricate.
This is part of the mural painting I created for my grand-niece Paige Caroline. Nature always shows us beauty in its intricate details. It was a challenge to paint this much detail life-sized. There are little animals and insects hidden throughout the mural. My niece is now two years old and loves to hunt for and find all the hidden elements in the mural. I am hoping the mural instills in her a love of nature and an eye for seeing not just what is apparent but to look beneath the surface of things to see the hidden beauty in all of life.

Very nice!
Welcome to IF!
What a lovely gift! When my kids were little, we had a lot of "nature" books with intricate paintings too, that they spent a lot of time looking at. (They also liked to go out IN nature and do the same thing).
Beautiful painting!
What a great painting of all these flowers!
Fantastic, very intricate, and the colors are excellent. Great job.
This is really beautiful! love it! I want to walk in that garden and smell the flowers.
What a lucky child to have something like this to grow up with. So beautiful.
Such lovely detail! I too am new to IF and the whole blogging community. Our styles are similar and I used to paint murals for children's rooms. Love your technique and the gorgeous colors.
very beuatiful mix of colours!
Thanks for your encouragement. I was a bit nervous seeing this was my first contribution to Illustration Friday. Your comments and encouragement mean a lot!
